Mijas Pueblo - Costa del Sol
"An incandescent afternoon in Mijas.
Shadowy doors, sleeping windows,
And narrow, meandering, white-hot streets.
A chirruping canary,
A mewing marmalade cat,
And a yawning yellow dog
Too sun-dazed to bark."
'Spanish Reverie'
"A dog so lazy that he rested his head against the wall to bark ..."

Malaga Busker
"MY heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains
My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,
Or emptied some dull opiate to the drains
One minute past, and Lethe-wards had sunk."

Zeus and Europa, Torremolinos
Zeus and Europa in Greek Mythology
Zeus, the ruler of the Olympian gods, was so taken with the beauty of Europa, a mortal woman, that he assumed the form of a magnificent white bull and swam ashore to where she and her female companions were playing. Lowing melodiously, he moved towards them and lay submissively at Europa's feet. When she climbed upon his back, he rushed to the sea and swam to the island of Crete where he cast off his disguise and revealed his true identity. Europa bore Zeus three sons: Minos, Rhadamanthys and Sarpedon. The white bull was transformed into the constellation Taurus.
